Youth health care (JGZ) celebrates today, November 20, International Day of the Rights of the Child and Young People.
ORANJESTAD—On International Children's and Young People's Rights Day, Youth health care, as part of the Department of Public Health (DVG), emphasizes its commitment to protect and promote the rights of every child and young person living in Aruba.
As an organization, JGZ strives to promote good health through a comprehensive approach that addresses emotional, mental, physical, and social well-being, as well as vital aspects of life and identity.
JGZ believes that every child deserves a healthy and optimal start in life, as well as the opportunity to thrive!

JGZ believes that every child and young person deserves high-quality health and well-being care, a quality education, and protection from abuse and neglect.
JGZ is dedicated to championing the rights of children and young people by:
- Providing preventive care, information, and support to children, parents, and educators (such as schools and day care centers) when health issues arise;
- Identify, recognize, and treat health problems early and refer to necessary care;
- Support parents, educators, and schools with children with health or developmental problems;
- Work with other agencies to provide comprehensive assistance or care;
- Collect health and well-being data and work on youth health management.
Aruba, let us all work together to protect the rights of all children. Every child has the right to a healthy development and a happy and prosperous life.
