World Tourism Day focuses on responsible and sustainable tourism
ORANJESTAD – On Friday, September 27, the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) celebrated World Tourism Day with partners and tourism industry professionals.
As part of this celebration, Minister of Tourism Dangui Oduber delivered a speech in which he emphasized that tourism in Aruba not only stimulates our economy but also significantly contributes to the social well-being of Aruba. The revenue generated by tourism helps sustain essential sectors such as healthcare and the pension fund, ensuring that the community also benefits from this.
The Ministry of Tourism management entails:
- Attracting affluent and high-quality tourists;
- Growing Aruba through sustainable and responsible tourism;
- Diversifying our tourism by innovating the product Aruba;
- Making continuous investments in improving the product Aruba.
We must work together to preserve Aruba’s landscapes, traditions, and cultural expressions, which make Aruba a unique destination. By adopting sustainable tourism management, we protect our island for future generations and enhance the quality of life for all who live in Aruba.
