Vaccination for Adults 60+ starting November 3
ORANJESTAD - Adults aged 60 and older can receive the influenza vaccine free of charge and without a prescription from a family doctor.
Eligible individuals can walk in at the Infectious Diseases Section, located at Avicenastraat #1 (behind the DVG building), Monday through Friday, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
Please bring your AZV card at the time of vaccination.
Vaccination for Individuals Under 60 with Chronic Illnesses
People under 60 who suffer from a chronic illness or have a weakened health condition can also receive the vaccine free of charge, provided they bring a prescription from their family doctor.
With the prescription, they can walk in at the Infectious Diseases Section of DVG, Monday through Friday, between 1:30 PM and 4:00 PM.
Please bring both your doctor’s prescription and your AZV card.
Vaccination for Persons with Limited Mobility
For individuals with mobility challenges (e.g., wheelchair users), DVG offers a drive-up vaccination service.
- Those aged 60 and above only need to present their AZV card.
- Those under 60 must bring both their doctor’s prescription and AZV card.
Upon arrival, the patient’s relative or caregiver should exit the vehicle to complete the administrative process. A nurse from the Infectious Diseases Section will then provide the vaccination while the patient remains in the car.
Home Vaccination for Bedridden Patients
For bedridden patients (bedlegerig), please call 522-4200 to register for home vaccination service.
A nurse from the Infectious Diseases Section will call back to schedule an appointment.
