Tribute to six former directors of the Tourism Office

ORANJESTAD - Recently, the Ministry of Tourism and the Aruba Tourism Authority celebrated the exceptional work and tireless dedication of 6 individuals who led Aruba's tourism as directors of the Aruba Tourism Authority.

During a special ceremony, the achievements under the leadership of the former directors were reflected upon, as they laid the solid foundation of our tourism.

•    Mr. Michael Kuiperi (1953-1971)
•    Mr. Odulio Bertrando "Beti Arends" (1971-1985)
•    Mr. Roderick Rory Arends (1985-1989)
•    Mr. Remigio Wever (1989-1995)
•    Mr. Jan van Nes (1995-2000)
•    Mrs. Myrna Jansen-Feliciano (2000-2009)

Aruba can be proud of the tremendous work each of them has done as director of the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA). During each of their terms at the helm of the ATA, they demonstrated their dedication, passion, and shared vision for Aruba's tourism. It is clear that the commitment and love with which each of them led have contributed to the substantial progress of our tourism and have helped shape the key economic pillar for Aruba.
