Training for Employment (EPE) Now in San Nicolas

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD - San Nicolas offers Training for Employment (EPE) and will start its pilot program with three new courses.

Enseñansa pa Empleo in San Nicolas wouldn't have been possible without the determination of Director Mathilda and Miss Helder, who worked hard from the beginning to make this possible for San Nicolas. They shared the vision of Training for Employment with EPB San Nicolas, and several vocational teachers at EPB San Nicolas, such as Mr. de Mey, Mr. vd Biezen, and Mr. Werleman, designed the courses for the technical sector. Training for Employment is now part of the EPB San Nicolas family.

The EPE courses in San Nicolas are for those who enjoy manual work and are willing to learn the basics of welding, electrical work, or Handyman skills. EPE is for those who want to expand their practical knowledge and build a solid professional foundation.

Three courses will start on September 10, 2024, and space is available for ten motivated and interested participants. Enrollment is limited to ensure safety during the courses because of semi-professional and industrial equipment use. Additionally, they will use different materials for the electrician and welding courses.

Three courses will commence:

  • Basic Electrician
  • Welder A
  • Handyman Level 1

The courses are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM and will last for 13 weeks.
All three courses are held at the EPB San Nicolas building at Caya Jose Geerman 77. To participate in these Training for Employment courses, register at https://www.epearuba.com/epe-san-nicolas/.

Once registration is complete, an employee from EPE will contact the participant with payment instructions. The participants send proof of payment to EPE, which registers them to participate in the course of their choice.

These courses are possible thanks to the cooperation of EPB San Nicolas, WEB Aruba NV, N.V. Elmar, RDA N.V., and Utilities N.V.
