Three Aruban police officers are now officers of the police service (OVD-P).

ORANJESTAD - Curaçao recently hosted a rigorous OVD-P (Officier Van Dienst van Politie) course.

In addition to guiding and collaborating with different departments (partners), the training concentrated on the aspect of overseeing the decisions made at the site of the crisis.

Police forces of Aruba, Curaçao, the Dutch Caribbean, and Sint Maarten participated in this course.

The course certified various police officers from our region as OVD-P. Colleagues were presented with multiple scenarios that required them to apply their learned skills, demonstrating their preparedness for any situation that may arise.

Dutch teachers from the Police Academy gave the course. The course took place from July 21 to August 1, 2025. The course consisted of two phases, theoretical and practical.

In the presence of the High Commissioner of Curaçao, the eight students received their certificates.

All eight students have successfully obtained their certificates. Now the police force has three more police, as well as those in our region, trained for any eventuality.

Each received their OVD-P vest with great pleasure and pride. We at the Aruba Police Force are proud of every police officer who has completed this intensive course! Congratulations!
