There is a significant improvement in commercial transport between Aruba and the Dominican Republic.
ORANJESTAD—On May 28, 2025, a trade delegation of 30 entrepreneurs left for Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, to attend the Agroalimentaria 2025 conference.
With participation in Agroalimentaria 2025, our entrepreneurs get access to food exporters of Santo Domingo and facilitate doing business in another country. The goal is to have access to fruit and vegetable products at advantageous prices and, in other markets, to reduce our dependence on one or two markets only, according to Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever.
The government has received the good news that Don Andres, a logistics company in the Caribbean, has announced a new development in its transport service to Aruba. With the recent opening and operation of two months of modern storage facilities, Don Andres now offers a better solution for customers looking for an efficient and profitable way to consolidate containers from the Dominican Republic.
This new capacity provides businesses in Aruba the opportunity to improve their shipping logistics with more effective inventory management, faster delivery times, and a reduction in transportation costs. By consolidating goods in Don Andres' warehouses, customers can optimize their supply chain and take advantage of shipping solutions tailored to their needs.
Minister Wever thanks the 30 Aruban entrepreneurs and the Department of Economic Affairs of Aruba for their tremendous work in the Dominican Republic during the fair.
