This meeting aimed to have a realistic view of Aruba's current position in the fintech sector. It emphasized the economic impact of innovative technologies and digital solutions in business, which are continually evolving. This project started more than a year ago. After delivering the results to Minister Wever, UN ECLAC will present them officially to all partners who contributed to the study's success.
Minister Wever thanks the UN-ECLAC for conducting the study and acknowledges the Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI) for their guidance throughout the study process, which is pertinent to Aruba's economic development. Economic management to create new sectors takes time. Now that the study is completed, the next step will be to develop an implementation strategy via Landspakket and implement it to further diversify Aruba's economy.
