S.V. Britannia Champion of the ABC Cup Bonaire
ORANJESTAD - On Friday, August 23, 2024, the team of S.V. Britannia returned to Aruba after winning the title of champion of the ABC Cup Bonaire.
S.V. Britannia is the champion of the 2023-2024 Honor Division in Aruba and represented Aruba on Bonaire in the ABC Cup held from August 15 to 19. The ABC Cup in Bonaire featured four teams competing against each other: Real Rincon, champion of Bonaire; Vespo, runner-up of Bonaire; Young Colombia, champion of Curaçao; and Britannia, champion of Aruba. The final was between Britannia and Young Colombia of Curaçao in a match full of action. Young Colombia scored the first goal, but Peter Susebeek and Fernando de Sousa each scored a goal, winning with a 2-1 score and taking the ABC Cup home for the first time.
As a sign of pride, the government of Aruba presented the champions with a medal. The Ministry of Sport thanked the president, coach, management, and the entire team of S.V. Britannia for representing Aruba with dignity in the ABC Cup on Bonaire. They also congratulated them on this great victory.
