SUELDO App Now Available in Four Languages
ORANJESTAD – The Department of Labor and Research (DAO) announces that the SUELDO App has been expanded and is now available in four languages: Dutch, Papiamento, English, and Spanish.
With this expansion, users can calculate the minimum hourly wage in their preferred language. The Ministry of Labor and DAO aim to provide more accessible and efficient services to all employees and employers in Aruba, enabling them to access clear, complete, and reliable information.
The SUELDO App was specifically developed to provide information and guidance during the transition to the minimum hourly wage, which was introduced on January 1, 2026, at a rate of AWG 11.58 per hour. The app provides employees and employers with a quick and easy way to check whether the new minimum hourly wage is being applied correctly. The SUELDO App will continue to be developed to further support employees in managing their salaries.
Multilingual Services for the Community
Aruba is a multilingual and diverse community. DAO is committed to ensuring that language barriers do not prevent employees and employers from accessing the information they need. With the addition of three new languages – Papiamento, English, and Spanish – alongside the original Dutch version, many citizens and residents can now easily access information about their employment rights and obligations and perform wage calculations.

o Monthly: number of hours worked per week × AWG 11.58 × factor 4.333.
For example, working 40 hours per week amounts to AWG 2,007.05 per month as of January 1, 2026.
