SUELDO App, a means to assist in the introduction of the minimum hourly wage
ORANJESTAD - The Ministry of Labor, in conjunction with the DAO, introduced an application, SUELDO, to assist with the transition to the hourly minimum wage, effective January 1, 2026.
The SUELDO App aims to provide workers and employers with an indication as to whether the change to a minimum hourly wage is applicable in their situation or not. On January 1, 2026, the minimum wage becomes AWG. 11.58 per hour.

- Send an email to dao.uurloon@gmail.com.
- Send a WhatsApp to 593-6934. WhatsApp is exclusively for questions related to minimum hourly wages.
- Call 523-7720.
- Visit the DAO located at Paardenbaistraat 11 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Finally, here is how to calculate the new minimum wage:
- The following formula is used for the minimum weekly wage:
Salary per week = number of working hours per week x minimum hourly wage. - The following formula is used for the minimum monthly wage:
Salary per month = number of working hours per week x minimum hourly wage x factor 4,333
Employees who are working 40 hours a week and currently earning a minimum wage to the tune of AWG. 1986.20 monthly, must have their salaries adjusted by using the correct factor, which is 4.333. This would result in a minimum wage of AWG. 2007.05 monthly as of January 1, 2026.
