State Secretary Zsolt Szabó gave a summary of his visit to Aruba

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD - The government of Aruba informs that after his recent visit to Aruba, the new State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitalization, Mr. Zsolt Szabó, summarized his trip to the island.

State Secretary Szabó did more than attend meetings during his brief visit; he also made many sightseeing stops.

State Secretary Szabó visited the hydroponic farm 297 Farm, where he explained lettuce cultivation. According to State Secretary Szabó, this is a significant example of self-sufficiency. The State Secretary also received a tour of San Nicolas and noted that the 'village around the former refinery' clearly shows how Aruba has developed from an oil refinery-based economy to a tourism-focused economy.

Additionally, State Secretary Szabó met with the Governor of Aruba, Mr. Alfonso Boekhoudt, Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes, and the other ministers of the cabinet. He also met with the President of the Aruban Parliament, Edgar Vrolijk, the Parliament, and the leaders of each faction.

State Secretary Szabó shared his priorities with the Kingdom partners: good governance, solid financial management, and economic self-sufficiency. He also talked about how digitalization might improve access to healthcare, for instance.
