Soft launch revamped government website

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD – On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, the soft launch of the revamped Aruba government website will take place.

Logo Website Oficial Gobierno di Aruba

The refurbished website features a complete redesign and a contemporary look and feel. The navigation is more user-friendly, allowing an optimal user experience.

Even though unlikely, the users may notice some issues after the refurbished website has been live and functional. Therefore, we ask for your understanding during this transition period. In the first days after the launch, search engines may still display references to the old site. We are working closely with our partners to resolve this quickly and make the transition as smooth as possible.

The purpose of the government website of Aruba is to provide information regarding the products and services of the government to the Aruban citizens, as its primary target group and as its secondary target group other interested parties.

The website maintains its thematic layout: the navigational structure is based on themes citizens can relate to.
In addition to general information (presented thematically), citizens are mainly interested in the concrete product information on the website. The government wants to primarily inform citizens about, for example, the product "Passport": what is it, how do I get one, and what does it cost.
The wishes and demands of the user are the starting point. You can ask questions via an online feedback form and ask for more information if the information is not available.

The website offers a clear overview of government products and services so that visitors quickly find what they are looking for. The digital counter is not complete as yet, and the objective is for it to be as soon as practicable.

Currently, the website is in three languages;, Papiamento Dutch and English. The English site is not (yet) fully completed. The goal is to provide the English website also fully with information.
The Department of Information and Automation (DIA), the Government Information Services (BUVO), and SIM Caribbean worked with dedication and enthusiasm to realize the refurbished website.

We hope you enjoy our revamped website and come back often to visit. Your feedback is always welcome as it helps us to improve our services.
