Sister Juliette School Opens Library for All Students.

ORANJESTAD – The official opening of the new school library at Scol Soeur Juliette (Sister Juliette School) took place on Friday, October 3rd.

The School Media Centre of the National Library was invited to celebrate this special occasion.

After two years of preparation, the library was completed and named "Bichi Sabi." Colleagues from the School Library Service assisted in cleaning and furnishing the library. Thanks to the financial support and dedication of all members of Quota International Aruba, Scol Soeur Juliette now has a beautiful library for all its students.

The Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation, and Sports, Ms. Gerlien Croes, was present to congratulate the school and everyone involved.

In 2021, the former Emma School was renamed Scol Soeur Juliette. This name change marked the beginning of a new era for special education in Aruba. Since then, students have received an official diploma upon completion of both primary and secondary education.

The name Scol Soeur Juliette honors Sister Juliette, a native of Bonaire who dedicated many years to education in Aruba.

The school had been requesting new air conditioning for a long time, and this request has finally been approved. For the 2023–2024 school year, 38 new air conditioners have been allocated to the Sister Juliette School. These advancements have enabled the school to create a modern library where students can read, learn, and borrow books.
