Savaneta Seafood Festival takes place in September 2025
ORANJESTAD – The Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector announces that the Government of Aruba will officially support the Savaneta Seafood Festival, taking place on September 28, 2025, in Savaneta.
The initiative, organized by the Fundacion Savaneta Prome Capital (Savaneta First Capital Foundation), aims to honor Savaneta’s rich fishing history, bring the community together, create opportunities for local entrepreneurs, and position Savaneta as Aruba’s premier fishing district. To ensure the successful organization of the festival, the government has signed a cooperation agreement with the foundation. The festival will become an annual event on the ministry’s agenda.
Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector, Geoffrey Wever emphasized that this initiative aligns closely with the government’s policy of strengthening the primary sector, stimulating entrepreneurship, and further diversifying Aruba’s economy.
The first Savaneta Seafood Festival will feature a diverse program including the sale of fresh fish, fishing tournaments, and live music. Local producers will have a platform to showcase their products and culinary creations, attracting tourists while also strengthening Aruba’s cultural identity and community bonds.
Minister Wever invites the entire Aruban population to attend the Savaneta Seafood Festival on September 28 and support this unique initiative – an event with great potential to grow into a valuable tradition for both residents and visitors.
