Registration for the 2026 Naturalization Test

ORANJESTAD – The Examinations and Tests Department of the Education (DEA) announces that registration for the 2026 Naturalization Test opens on July 1, 2026, at 8:00 AM.

This year, candidates may register only for the four Dutch language components at level A2:

  • Reading
  • Listening
  • Writing
  • Speaking

Registration for the Orientacion di Comunidad and Orientacion Estatal tests, nor for the Papiamento test at level A2, will not be available this year.

To register for the 2026 Naturalization Test, applicants must complete the digital registration form, which will be available from July 1, 2026, on the website of the Department of Education.

A Gmail address is required for registration. Other email addresses will not be accepted. Registrations at the counter or via the email addresses naturalisatietoets.aw@gmail.com and naturalisatietoets@ea.aw will not be processed.

Registration opens on July 1, 2026, at 08:00. Registration will close once the maximum number of available places has been reached.

Please note: When registering, you must upload the following documents in PDF format:

  • A scan (PDF) of your valid passport;
  • a scan (PDF) of an extract from the Civil Register of Aruba (Afl. 5.00, not older than six months);
  • a scan (PDF) of the issued declaration(s) (if applicable);
  • a scan (PDF) of a certificate of exemption for Papiamento or Dutch, issued before 2010 (if applicable); 
  • a scan (PDF) of your EPB, Labour Market, or SPO diploma, including final grade transcript (if applicable).

Only complete registrations will be accepted and processed from all received applications. Therefore, please carefully check whether all required documents have been included.

After receipt of the application, the candidate will receive a confirmation email.

The first round of testing will take place in September 2026 and the second round in October 2026. The exact test dates will be announced at a later time.
