Project DAYCARE will have ten operational facilities this year.
ORANJESTAD - Recently, the Ministry of Transportation, Integrity, Nature, and Elderly Affairs announced that the elder daycare project, known as PASADIA, will have 10 locations operational by the end of 2024.
There are three types of PASADIA:
- An integral concept where a new location is opened and operated by a team dedicated to PASADIA (marked in black on the map);
- An executed concept where existing facilities and operations of an existing institution are utilized (marked in blue on the map);
- A satellite concept where institutions operate as a PASADIA concept but do not receive government funding (marked in green on the map).
The full concept will open 5 PASADIA locations at the following places: Oranjestad, FCCA Cunucu Abou, FCCA Paradera, Kibrahacha, and Praktijk di Dokter in San Nicolas.
The collaborative concept will open 4 PASADIA locations, with Cas Marie San Nicolas, Cas Marie Santa Cruz, S.A.BA. Oranjestad, and S.A.BA. San Nicolas.
Finally, the Red Cross in San Nicolas will implement the third concept, where the institution will train its team to operate as a PASADIA.
PASADIA will provide our elderly with the necessary support from a social framework and improve their quality of life while relieving our healthcare system in Aruba.
The Ministry of Elderly Affairs thanks all PASADIA partners for sharing their vision and commitment to Aruba's elderly.
