Prime Minister Eman meets with the Royal Schiphol Group.
ORANJESTAD – Prime Minister Mike Eman met on September 24, 2025, in the Netherlands with Mr. Peter van Oord, top executive of Royal Schiphol Group, to discuss the future of Queen Beatrix International Airport.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to expand the strategic partnership, focusing on knowledge exchange, training opportunities for young Aruban professionals, and exploring Schiphol’s potential minority stake in the airport.
Mr. Van Oord emphasized Aruba’s role as a key partner, citing the success of past cooperation in transforming the airport into a reliable and stable organization. Prime Minister Eman underlined the importance of strategic alliances with international partners that bring expertise, innovation, and sustainability. This new step will strengthen our airport and enhance Aruba’s position as a regional hub.
The meeting confirms the Government of Aruba’s commitment to investing in critical infrastructure that supports both the people and the economy of Aruba.
