Presentation of the TERENO Connect Platform

ORANJESTAD – On January 15, 2026, the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure, in collaboration with the Department of Land Survey and Property Registration (DLV), hosted a presentation of the TERENO Connect platform at JOIA Iberostar.

Mr. Louis Boekhoudt of DLV opened the event with a welcome address and thanked all attendees for their presence. He noted that a land management platform such as TERENO Connect will contribute to further automation and innovation within DLV, and that improved access to cadastral information will significantly simplify registration procedures.

The Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Mr. Baba Herdé, subsequently welcomed the audience. He expressed his appreciation for the strong turnout and emphasized the importance of TERENO Connect and the positive impact such a platform can have not only for DLV, but for Aruba as a whole.

Mr. Guershon Nahr of DataAxis then delivered a presentation. DataAxis is responsible for automation, digital integration, and regulatory compliance across various sectors, with the goal of modernizing systems throughout the Caribbean region. The company supports both government institutions and the private sector in maximizing the use of internal data and generating external revenue from that data.

The purpose of the presentation was to inform stakeholders about the progress of TERENO Connect and to introduce the communication and data exchange portal. The session also served as an opportunity to gather feedback from stakeholders for the next phase of development.

TERENO Connect is a fully new, digital platform designed to modernize and simplify access to cadastral information managed by DLV.

The platform will serve as a secure, centralized access point for interaction with DLV, enabling stakeholders and clients to submit applications digitally. This will significantly reduce, and in some cases eliminate, manual processes, paperwork, and the need for in-person visits.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Minister Herdé encouraged stakeholders to provide feedback and share ideas to further develop the portal and facilitate its introduction as soon as possible.
