Police Drone with Advanced Technology Enters Operation at KPA

ORANJESTAD - Crime doesn’t stop, and neither does the Aruba Police Force (KPA)!

The KPA continues to advance through collaboration, innovation, and modernization in its ongoing mission to fight crime effectively and efficiently.

After several important steps in digitalization over the past years, it is now time to elevate KPA’s capabilities with more modern and sophisticated equipment. The force has acquired a specialized police drone, perfectly aligned with its vision for innovation and international-level preparedness. The new drone, manufactured by DJI, is equipped with the latest sensors, cameras, and advanced technological features.

This modern tool will enable KPA to combat crime more professionally and from new perspectives, enhancing the efficiency of police work. It will also support investigations, public order operations, and various daily policing activities.

Four KPA officers, together with staff from Setar N.V., completed an intensive training program titled “Theoretical and Practical Drone Flight Course — Enterprise Line.”
The course was taught by G.J. Luna, a DJI Instructor, and M.M. Zúñiga, a DJI Engineer from Drones Empresariales de Centroamérica S.A.

At the conclusion of the course, a presentation was delivered to KPA senior management and representatives from Setar N.V.

KPA congratulates its officers and the Setar N.V. participants for completing the training. With the introduction of this advanced technology, KPA reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving the safety and security of our nation.
