Official Opening of FIFA Arena Mini Turf Fields in Noord and Pos Chikito
ORANJESTAD – The Government of Aruba, through the Ministry of Sports, announces the official opening of the FIFA Arena Mini Turf projects at S.C. United (Noord) and S.V. Unistars (Pos Chikito).
This milestone marks an important step forward in the development of Aruba’s sports infrastructure.
With the opening of these facilities, both Noord and Pos Chikito now have their first FIFA Arena Mini Turf field. These modern, accessible, and safe recreational spaces provide new opportunities for the community, particularly for children and young people.
The project was made possible through a strong partnership between the Government of Aruba, the Aruba Football Federation (AVB), FIFA, and Lotto pa Deporte. The initiative, which began several months ago, is part of an international FIFA program aimed at promoting accessibility, inclusion, and the development of athletic talent at the community level.
The Minister of Kingdom Relations, Education, Youth, Innovation and Sports, Ms. Gerlien Croes, expressed her pride in the successful completion of these projects:
"This achievement demonstrates how collaboration between local and international partners can create a positive impact on our community. Through these projects, we are creating opportunities for our youth to grow, develop, and actively participate in sports."
The vision is to expand similar projects to other neighborhoods across Aruba, to increase sports participation, encourage active lifestyles, and further strengthen community development.
The Government of Aruba reaffirms its commitment to continuing investments in sports infrastructure and working closely with all stakeholders to further advance sports development throughout Aruba.
Minister Croes congratulated S.C. United, the district of Noord, S.V. Unistars, the community of Pos Chikito, and everyone who worked tirelessly to make these projects a reality.
