October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
ORANJESTAD — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a global opportunity to raise awareness and call for action to improve access to timely diagnosis and quality care.
The theme, "Every story is unique, every journey counts," recognizes that every breast cancer experience is different. Behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a unique path. People face diverse challenges depending on their diagnosis, treatment, support networks, and access to care.
Behind each statistic is a life, a story, and a loved one who deserves our support, love, and understanding. This year, we remember that no one should face this battle alone.
With 1 in 8 women facing breast cancer, the message is clear and powerful: Early detection is the best defense!
This week and throughout October, let's unite as a community to educate, support one another, and remember that your health should be your priority.
Get checked, share this message, and save lives!
