Nine students from Aruba receive Kingdom Scholarship
ORANJESTAD – On June 28, 2024, a presentation was held for nine (9) students who received the first Kingdom Scholarship.
Starting September 1, the students will begin their study exchange or internship in one of the countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In January 2023, the Dutch Minister of Education, Mr. Robbert Dijkgraaf, announced the Kingdom Scholarship project during a visit to Aruba as part of the student mobility program.
This exchange offers students from EPI and the University of Aruba the opportunity to do their internship or study exchange for six (6) months in the Netherlands, giving students the chance to experience if they would like to continue their studies in the Netherlands. The Kingdom Scholarship is a mobility program for all students within the Kingdom of the Netherlands to make short-term student exchanges possible and increase the percentage of students who graduate successfully. The goal is to prevent dropout and disappointment when students choose to pursue a study program abroad.
Nine students from Aruba, eight from EPI and one from the University of Aruba, received the Kingdom Scholarship to go to the Netherlands with all expenses paid. Next year, 120 places are available for this project, divided among Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and Aruba. Students from IPA, EPI, and the University of Aruba must apply timely for the Kingdom Scholarship for consideration for the upcoming selection.
