New Adjutant to the Governor of Aruba Takes Office
ORANJESTAD—Today, Friday, September 26, Captain Wesley Veltman of the Marine Corps took office as the new Adjutant to the Governor of Aruba. He succeeds Adjutant Frank Plomp.
Captain Veltman was born in Emmeloord, the Netherlands. His career in the Marine Corps began in 2009 when he enlisted as a Marine. In 2017, he was promoted to Corporal (non-commissioned officer), and from 2019 to 2021, he completed officer training. During his career, Captain Veltman has served in several operational deployments, including to Aruba (August 2013 and January 2015).
Before becoming Adjutant to the Governor of Aruba, Captain Veltman held positions as Troop Commander and Jr. HR Advisor for the operational units of the Marine Corps.
