Let’s Go to the Library This Summer Break!

Enjoy outdoor movies, creative workshops, and a beautiful art exhibition.

Outdoor Movies

During the school break, the library will show a weekly movie on the big screen in our outdoor cinema. Screenings will take place at both the Playa (Oranjestad) and San Nicolas branches. This year’s lineup includes: Moana 2, Zootopia 2, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Hoppers.

Creative Workshops and "Buki di Pret"

The library is also participating in the popular summer activity program Buki di Pret. The activity booklets have already been distributed to all local elementary schools. The library’s featured activity consists of two workshops where children can paint their own T-shirts: one workshop will be held in Oranjestad, and the other in San Nicolas. Spaces are limited, so parents are encouraged to register their children quickly, so they don't miss out!

Art and Culture

For those looking to discover something new and unique, a beautiful exhibition by Aruban artist Velvet Zoe Ramos is currently on display in the activity room at the Oranjestad library.

Free Membership for Youth Under 18

The library warmly invites parents to bring their children to pick out books for the summer. Membership for babies, children, and teens under the age of 18 is completely free! This opens up a world of physical books, e-books, and audiobooks. Additionally, the library offers study and meeting spaces, computers with internet access, and free Wi-Fi.
