This day program for vulnerable seniors Pasadia is an innovative daycare project designed to help the elderly lead independent lives, strengthen their social contacts, and alleviate the pressure on informal care.

Pasadia offers seniors various activities, emphasizing improving their nutritional quality and social contacts. The project is for seniors at risk of social isolation and with a limited social network.

Goals of Pasadia:

  1. Maintaining independence: ensuring seniors can live independently at home for as long as possible;
  2. Alleviating informal care: reducing the pressure on families and other informal caregivers;
  3. Alleviating primary care: reducing the need for hospitalization and intensive care;
  4. Preventing hospitalization: preventing unnecessary admission of seniors to hospitals or nursing homes.

Implementation and plan:

The Pasadia project is being implemented in several phases, starting with a day project in Santa Cruz, San Nicolas, and other locations while expanding collaboration with more existing entities.

Pasadia is a project realized in collaboration with various organizations, including Wit Gele Kruis, FCCA, SABA, Buurtzorg, Cas Marie, YMCA, and Red Cross. Jointly, they created a supportive environment where the seniors can live with dignity and receive quality care.
