As Aruba enters the busy end-of-year period, the Aruba Police Force (KPA) is once again stepping up enforcement efforts to promote road safety and compliance with traffic laws.
During the latest operation, a total of 160 vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, were inspected.
The controls resulted in 64 fines issued for various traffic violations:
- 27 drivers were fined for failing to pay their motor vehicle tax;
- 20 drivers were fined for driving with outdated license plates;
- 17 drivers received fines for other traffic infractions.
In addition, one driver was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and a motorcycle was confiscated in connection with a theft investigation.
The coordinated operation was successfully carried out with the assistance of the KPA Motor Unit, ensuring effective coverage and enforcement.
The Aruba Police Force emphasizes that these traffic controls will continue regularly at various locations and times throughout the island. The message to all motorists is clear: compliance with traffic laws is not optional.
Motorists are urged to keep all vehicle documents up to date, pay their fines promptly through the “Pay Your Fine” system, and drive responsibly to avoid penalties.
The KPA reminds the public:
“We are present when you least expect it. Drive safely, stay alert, and help us keep our roads secure for everyone.”
