‘Inspiring Academic Year’ Event Held at IPA
ORANJESTAD — The Board of Directors of Instituto Pedagogico Arubano (IPA) organized the successful “Inspiring Academic Year 2026-2027” event in the Madonna Hall / Café Nita at IPA, focusing on the central theme: “Rediscovering human capacities in a technological era.”
The board, faculty, students, and families celebrated the beginning of the new academic year and the achievements of the students.
During the program, Minister of Education Mrs. Gerlien Croes, Esq., addressed inspiring and encouraging words to the future educators. The minister highlighted the importance of reconnecting with human capacities such as empathy, critical thinking, and personal connection in an era where technology plays an increasingly dominant role. The minister emphasized that, even as technology evolves, the impact and heart of a teacher in the classroom remain irreplaceable.
One of the most prominent and festive moments of the evening was the official presentation of propaedeutic certificates (propedeuse) to 13 students. This marks an important step in their academic careers, demonstrating their dedication and effort to become the educational professionals that Aruba needs.
The Minister of Education expresses her gratitude to IPA for the invitation and wishes all the best and continued support to the institute and its students. Furthermore, she congratulated the 13 students who received their propaedeutic certificates and wished the entire academic community a 2026-2027 school year full of success, growth, and inspiration.
