Informative Program about Language Education Policy.

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD - The Ministry of Education informs that tonight, July 22, 2024, starting at 9:15 pm, Canal 22 Aruba and Telearuba will broadcast an educational program about the the introduction of Papiamento in grade 1 of primary school (Language Education Policy).

Grade 1 elementary school students will learn to read and write in Papiamento starting the school year 2024-2025. It will give the Dutch a new approach that fits more in the context of our children.

Children may acquire foreign languages considerably more quickly and effectively if they have a solid foundation in their native tongue, as demonstrated by scientific research.

The kids will gain from this since it will help them develop their critical thinking skills and make them more ready to voice their thoughts in class. They can also establish stronger connections with their cultural heritage.

The Ministry of Education invites the people of Aruba to tune in to the program in connection with the introduction of Papiamento in grade 1 of primary school through TeleAruba, Canal 22, and the Facebook page Cabinet Wever-Croes, starting at 9:15 pm.
