Graduation of the EPI tourism and hospitality faculty

ORANJESTAD - Recently, the graduation ceremony of ninety-eight students of the faculty of tourism and hospitality of Colegio EPI.

On this occasion, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, and Labor, Mr. Wendrick Cicilia, was the guest of honor. During his introduction, Minister Cicilia acknowledged the presence of some important figures for the formation of the students, among others, friends, family, teachers, director general of Colegio EPI Ankie Danker, 'Unit Manager' of the faculty of tourism and hospitality Gloria Vega, and CEO of AHATA Tisa LaSorte.

The graduation night was historic and important. The graduates' training and effort are linked to the idea of making a significant contribution to Aruba. 

"The choice you have made for the tourism industry means that your heart is connected with Aruba. Tourism is the heart and economy of our country," Minister Cicilia said.

Minister Cicilia encouraged the graduates to inculcate the principle of 'lifelong learning' in their lives as industry professionals. "We depend on you; each of you represents Aruba," the tourism minister said.

The employment of graduates determines the success of the Aruba product. In all surveys done, what makes Aruba different is our people, the human capital. The warmth we extend to guests is what makes Aruba the world's paradise. 

On behalf of the Government of Aruba, he congratulated each of the graduates. This is just the beginning. Graduates need to be instilled with the principle of lifelong learning. Your professional development does not end here, but is just the beginning. We depend on you; each of you represents Aruba. Aruba is our home port and each of you plays a role in it and your employment determines the success of the Aruban product, said Minister Cicilia. 

The minister congratulated the graduates on this significant achievement. Each one on their own is an additional ambassador for the Aruba product.
