Governor receives executive director (administrator) at IMF

ORANJESTAD - On May 13, 2024, the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, had a conversation at Cas Ceremonial di Gobernador with Mr. Paul Hilbers, executive director at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The Kingdom of the Netherlands and Belgium share a board seat in the IMF. This seat represents a constituency that includes Bulgaria, Israel and Ukraine. Mr. Hilbers has held this position since Nov. 1, 2020.
The discussion with the Governor included the macro-economic development of Aruba and the relationship between the IMF and Aruba. Mr. Hilbers was accompanied in this conversation by his colleague Ms. Carlijn Eijking.
