Governor Receives Architectural and Cultural Historian and Author

ORANJESTAD – The Governor of Aruba, H.E. Alfonso Boekhoudt, received Mrs. Olga van Klooster, Architectural and Cultural Historian and author, for an audience on Thursday, January 15th.

The audience was primarily dedicated to the presentation of the first copy of her book, entitled "'Niets zal ik onbeproefd laten, De Caribische erfgoedcollecties van Anton van Koolwijk: dienaar van God, de wetenschap en de Nederlandse Staat'" (I Will Leave Nothing Untested: The Caribbean Heritage Collections of Anton van Koolwijk: Servant of God, Science, and the Dutch State), for which she conducted twelve years of research at institutions including the Archivo Nacional Aruba.

Ms. Van Klooster is also the co-author of previously published publications such as "‘Bouwen op de Wind, Architectuur en Cultuur van Aruba" (Building on the Wind: Architecture and Culture of Aruba) and “Monumentengids Aruba” (Aruba Monument Guide).
