Governor receives advice from the Advisory Department of the Council of State of the Kingdom
ORANJESESTAD - On October 18, 2024, the Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, received from the hands of the Vice-President of the Council of State of the Kingdom, Thom de Graaf, the 'spontaneous advice' issued by the Advisory Division of the Council of State of the Kingdom on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Statute for the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Charter is the basis of the legal order within the Kingdom and regulates the relations between the countries that collectively form the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The opinion formulates principles and recommendations that can contribute to cooperation and relations between the countries. The Vice President of the Council of State of the Kingdom was accompanied during the audience with the Governor by the State Council of the Kingdom for Aruba, Andy Lee, and counselor Ron van der Veer.
