Governor paid working visit to the Netherlands
ORANJESTAD - The Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt, recently paid a working visit to the Netherlands. The reason for the working visit was the farewell of the Vice-President of the Council of State of the Kingdom, Mr. Thom de Graaf, on June 30.

Additionally, the Governors' Consultation took place on June 29; a periodic meeting of the Governors of Aruba, Curaçao, and Sint Maarten and the State Secretary for Kingdom Relations and Effective Government. During this meeting, current affairs in the Caribbean countries and in the Netherlands regarding Kingdom relations were discussed.
The Governor began his stay in the Netherlands with a visit to the Arubahuis. There, he held a meeting with Plenipotentiary Minister Ms. Schwengle and with the staff of the Arubahuis. The Governor also held discussions with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mr. Jetten; the Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, Mr. Heerma; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Berendsen; the Minister of Defense, Ms. Yeşilgöz-Zegerius; the Minister of Justice and Security, Mr. Van Weel; and the Speakers of the Senate and House of Representativesof the States, Ms. Vos and Mr. Van Campen, respectively.
Finally, the Governor visited the Chapter for Civil Orders in The Hague, the institution where proposals for a Royal decoration are reviewed.
During official trips of Governor Boekhoudt, the Acting Governor of Aruba, His Excellency Agustin Vrolijk, assumes the office.
