Government Meets with Blue Marine Foundation and Aruba Conservation Foundation
ORANJESTAD – The Government recently held a meeting with the Blue Marine Foundation and the Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF).
The purpose of the visit was to explore and further strengthen the existing collaboration and to determine how these organizations can continue to support Aruba in the sustainable planning, management, and financing of marine environmental protection.
The Blue Marine Foundation is an international organization with more than 15 years of experience in ocean conservation worldwide. Over the past five years, it has worked closely with ACF in Aruba to support initiatives such as mangrove restoration, institutional strengthening, and technical assistance in science-based planning.
During the meeting, Aruba’s Prime Minister Mike Eman and the Minister of Infrastructure, René Herdé, exchanged views on progress to date, next steps, and opportunities to further enhance the protection and responsible management of the marine environment.
The Government of Aruba expressed its appreciation to the Blue Marine Foundation and ACF for their continued commitment and collaboration in support of Aruba and its natural resources.
