Extended agreement with Colombo-Dutch Chamber of Commerce "Holland House" in Colombia.
ORANJESTAD—The Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector extended the agreement with Holland House in Colombia, one of the largest bilateral Colombian chambers of commerce.
Since the initial agreement with Holland House in 2023, other organizations have helped local businesses establish relationships with Colombian businesses.
With the assistance of Holland House Colombia, the Aruban government and Department of Economic Affairs, Commerce and Industry (DEACI) successfully arranged a trade delegation to Colombia in 2023. Transporting beef from Colombia to Aruba was a significant theme of this trading mission. We can now confidently state that all the necessary conditions are nearly complete, and we will soon be able to begin importing beef from Colombia.
Growing the commercial network contributes positively to our Aruba economy.
As is well known, Aruba's economy is tiny and primarily dependent on imports. Given the Caribbean's strategic location between the US and Latin America, we must keep looking for commercial possibilities that benefit our traders and customers. As a result, maintaining and strengthening economic ties with nations in the region is crucial. Colombia's relationship with Aruba is significant. Colombia's relationship with Aruba is essential given the proximity and possibilities for many business ventures,
Minister Wever thanks the Holland House team for the work they have already done and DEACI for extending the agreement between Aruba and Holland House Colombia.
