Dutch Performing Arts Fund Appoints Michael Lampe as Advisor for the Caribbean Region

ORANJESTAD – Cultural diplomat Michael Lampe has been appointed (by invitation) as advisor to the largest public fund for the performing arts in the Netherlands: the Dutch Performing Arts Fund, which supports music, theater, and dance.

This appointment strengthens the representation of Aruba and the wider Caribbean region, opening new opportunities for creators from Aruba and beyond.
The Dutch Performing Arts Fund manages the most essential grant programs for the creative sector. It plays a crucial role in shaping the development and future of the performing arts in both the Netherlands and the Dutch Caribbean.

Lampe has long been dedicated to strengthening cultural ties within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and internationally. As an artist – under the names Fellow and Datapanik – he is recognized for works that connect identity and heritage with innovative music and digital creativity. In his role as a cultural diplomat, he also focuses on cultural diplomacy, diaspora, and creative innovation, creating new pathways for talent from Aruba.

“This appointment is a great honor, but above all, a responsibility. I will continue to dedicate myself to ensuring that Aruban creators and our region secure their place within the creative infrastructure and in the decisions that shape the future of the performing arts throughout the Kingdom,” Lampe stated.
