Do not interact with the Lora’s.
ORANJESTAD –The Aruba National Park Foundation informs on the reintroduction project of Lora in our nature.
The conservation of the Yellow-Shouldered Amazon, also known as the 'Lora,' relies on how we act as humans.
The Arikok National Park has seen many hikers whoencountered the 'Lora' in our protected nature areas and we can imagine the pride and joy it brings to any Aruban. However, not everyone may know how to behave when encountering these clever and social birds.
This guide explains the behaviors that will most effectively help us in our efforts to conserve the 'Lora.' Please, do not just read but also follow these guidelines so we can ensure the survival of these birds for future generations.
Stay alert, and if you happen to see any tagged 'Lora,' please share your sightings with us via WhatsApp at FPNA’s Wildlife Hotline: +297 592 4476 or email us at info@arubanationalpark.org.
