Taxpayers with outstanding payments are requested to arrange a payment plan. For overdue motor vehicle tax, the Tax Department allows no more than three months to settle the debt.
The Tax Department (DIMP) urges all motorists and motorcyclists who have not paid their 2024 motor vehicle tax to do so as soon as possible. Not paying is not an option. The 50% fine applies now, and the police also conduct traffic checks. A fine is an unnecessary expense taxpayers can avoid by paying on time.
2025 is approaching, and if taxpayers do not settle the outstanding debt, they must pay off the 2024 first debt before paying for their 2025 motor vehicle tax. Only then will they receive their new license plate.
