Colegio Hilario Angela inaugurated its food garden

This is an old post.

ORANJESTAD - On Saturday, March 23, 2024, Colegio Hilario Angela inaugurated its food garden as part of the agroforestry project to integrate sustainable agriculture into the education of our children.

The school planted its food garden with the support of the Ministry of Nature, students, and community members. They united their forces to show that by investing in our children's education, we are doing so for the future of our island.

Colegio Hilario Angela is known for its Montessori Method, which focuses, among others, on children's independence. The schools also emphasize a connection with nature. Hence, the agroforestry project has its perfect place at Weg Fontein.

The next agroforestry project is on April 2024 at St Paulus Basisschool from 7.00 am to 1.00 pm.

Minister of Transport, Integrity, Nature and Elderly Affairs Ursell Arends thanks Santa Rosa, Living Soil, and Colegio Hilario Angela and its director Conny Aventurin and the project coordinator, Shaneila Geerman for another fruitful Saturday contributing to elevating food security in Aruba.
