Civil Registry and Population Register Service Introduces Adapted Registration System
ORANJESTAD – The Civil Registry (DBSB–Censo) reports a significant increase in the number of applications for (re)registration in the population register.
As a result, the service has currently reached its maximum processing capacity.
In addition to this increase, misuse of the online appointment system has been detected, particularly for registration appointments. For this reason, DBSB–Censo has temporarily closed the option to make an appointment online. This option will be reopened in one week.
The appointment system has now been equipped with additional security features and will be actively monitored.
Everyone is kindly requested to keep the following in mind:
- NO ONE NEEDS TO PAY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Booking an appointment is completely free and accessible to everyone. You can do this yourself or ask someone to assist you. Do not pay for this. Let us work together to put an end to this misuse.
- Enter your valid personal email address. You will receive a code by email. Use this code to confirm your appointment.
- If it is found that a staff member has already made the appointment for you, the appointment will be cancelled.
- If it appears that your residence permit is not yet ready at the time you schedule the appointment, your appointment will also be cancelled.
Please make an appointment only when your residence permit is ready, all your documents are in order, and you are already on Aruba.
We ask for your cooperation in cancelling your appointment if you are unable to attend, so others may have the opportunity to schedule one. Let us all work together to ensure that everyone can be assisted efficiently.
Let us put an end to the misuse of appointment payments, as this system is free. By paying, you contribute to the disruption of services for everyone. To ensure that the service related to this process can function properly again, we must all cooperate so that the Civil Registry/ Censo can continue to provide the service you are accustomed to.
