Celebration of Betico Day at the library
ORANJESTAD - On January 23, 2024, the National Library in Oranjestad will kick off its first children's activity for 2024, taking place in the Verteltoren to celebrate 'Dia di Betico.'
From 3:00 to 4:00 PM, Joe Koolman will narrate the life story and career of Betico Croes, while the Reina di Dande, Stephany Quandt, will sing his winning Dande. All attending children will receive as treat from the library a peanut chocolate beverage and sweet bread. The National
Library of Aruba welcomes all children and encourages schools interested in participating to contact the library at 528 1500 to find out how many children will be present.
The National Library of Aruba will be closed on Thursday, January 25, in celebration of 'Dia di Betico,' and on Friday, January 26, for a collective ATV day.
