Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Holland America Line
ORANJESTAD - Recently, the cruise company Holland America Line celebrated its 150th anniversary and 65th year visiting Aruba as a cruise destination.
Holland America Line invited the Government of Aruba and the local press to celebrate this historic occasion. Prime Minister Evelyn Wever-Croes and Minister of Tourism Dangui Oduber, along with the Director of the Aruba Ports Authority (APA) Marc Figaroa and Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, David Dubero, were present at this special celebration and received an exclusive tour of the Holland America Line ship, where they witnessed the dedication of the cruise line to its sustainable operations. The visit was a celebration of history and a testament to the company's commitment to environmental responsibility.
The executives from Holland America Line also announced that all their cruises will transition soon from diesel to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), a significant step to reduce carbon emissions and focus on a more environmentally friendly future.
