Cas di Cultura/Stichting Schouwburg presents its renovation and expansion plan.
ORANJESTAD—Director Cas di Cultura/Stichting Schouwburg Aruba Ms. Vicky Arens-Tjon A Tjoe, accompanied by representatives of Aruba Invest Bank, presented Prime Minister Mr. Mike Eman, responsible for culture, with the plan for the renovation and expansion of Cas di Cultura.
A plan, design, and color choices for each room were presented, as well as the modern technology included in the renovation.
It has been a few years since the renovation plans began. However, the recent situation that led to the closure of Cas di Cultura's main auditorium has accelerated the need to move forward with this extensive project, estimated to be worth approximately 17 million florins.
Cas di Cultura explores opportunities to obtain the necessary funds on the market, either through the government or through loans, with the Aruba Investment Bank.
The project is modern and energy efficient and includes insulated doors and windows, solar panels, water reuse, LED lighting, etc. The goal is to have a building that is as energy-efficient as possible for the next 30 to 40 years.
