Back to Town: A Positive Effort to Give New Life to Main Street

ORANJESTAD—On June 6, the first edition of Ban Bek Caya will take place. The event is a government initiative to bring new life and more traffic to Caya Grandi in Oranjestad (Caya G.F. Betico Croes).

Ban Bek Caya will take place on Friday, June 6, from 6 pm to 10 pm and will provide a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere. During the event, many shops will offer attractive discounts, giving the people of Aruba a good reason to go out with family and stimulating the local economy.

The event includes 6-atmosphere points with entertainment for the whole family:

  • Plaza Daniel Leo: Ataniro, DJ Sky, and DJ Devin;
  • Plaza La Linda: Tsunami and Shine Music;
  • Plaza Pro Fashion: Kids Corner, Dino Jump, and music for children;
  • Nikki Habibe Square: Chay band and a unique atmosphere with Chubato Beer;
  • Plaza Djiespies: Band Proost, organ "Olga," and cultural dance of "Nos Cultura" and Dazzling Dancers;
  • Plaza Comercio: Local crafts in a good atmosphere with NBO.

Business owners are optimistic that the Ban Bek Caya initiative will draw a crowd to Caya Grandi and create positive momentum for the commercial sector.

For the Government of Aruba, businesses, and local organizations, the message is clear: revitalization of Caya Grandi is a responsibility of all of us and Ban Bek Caya is just the first step in this direction.

Let's go out with family and friends and enjoy an unforgettable evening in our Caya Grandi!
