Aruba Tourism Authority and Aruba Airport Authority present updates on the airport
ORANJESTAD - Since September 16, 2024, the Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.), and over 67 representatives of tour operators and international airlines in Aruba met to receive an update on Aruba and our tourism industry.
It is an essential platform to strengthen collaboration and ensure that the partners are informed about the future developments of our island. Delegates (103) from the U.S.A., Canada, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany are in Aruba for this occasion. It includes representatives of our hotels, established abroad, various A.T.A. team members, and international press.
During the Aruba Airport Authority (AAA) event, the Aruba Tourism Authority's CEO, Ronella Croes, welcomed those present. She presented the Gateway 2030 project to tour operators and international airlines, noting its direct influence on customers' travel experience. The Capacity expansion and substantial improvements in airport infrastructure will improve the process and contribute to a positive experience.
Chief Revenue Development & Communications Officer & Interim Management Team Member of Aruba Airport Authority (AAA), Mrs. Barbara Brown, presented Phase 1A of the Gateway 2030 project. She emphasized the airport's future, sharing information about the new check-in hall for US passengers, a program set to start operations at the beginning of 2025 and eventually apply to other countries. In addition, they introduced the latest technology baggage handling system. Gateway 2030 is an investment redefining hospitality and comfort for our passengers. The AAA is committed to elevating experience and operational efficiency, making Aruba a first-class travel destination. This initiative reflects the airport's dedication to providing a seamless travel experience for all visitors.
