Aruba Excellence Foundation Participates in the Children's Book Festival
ORANJESTAD – As part of the 2025 Children's Book Festival, the Aruba Excellence Foundation presented a special children's book to the National Library of Aruba.
With this book, the foundation aims to inspire young readers to learn more about the nature, culture, and history of their island.
The children's book covers significant themes, including the formation of Aruba, its flora and fauna, history, population, industry, culture, tourism, and sustainability. It is a team production of the Aruba Excellence Foundation, consisting of Giovanni de Windt, Melissa Robert, Susana Romero, and Sharenda Clarinda. The colorful illustrations are by Yohandy Larmonie.
The book, titled "A.C.P. for Children," is a valuable publication intended for all children in Aruba. As part of the 2025 Children's Book Festival, Giovanni de Windt and Melissa Robert will be giving interactive presentations at schools this week, teaching students about the flora, fauna, and other unique aspects of our island. The goal of this activity is to introduce children to Aruba's unique nature and culture in a playful, educational way.
The National Archaeological Museum of Aruba (MANA), the Aruba Conservation Foundation (ACF), the National Archives of Aruba (ANA), and the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA) jointly created the production.
The Aruba Excellence Foundation, established in 2018 by the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), is responsible for implementing the Aruba Certification Program (ACP). The foundation's mission is to promote and develop training programs that disseminate accurate and consistent information about Aruba, thus contributing to the island's quality and hospitality.
