Aruba Continues Partnership with Holland House Bogotá

The goal of this extension for the 2026–2027 period is to promote trade between Aruba and Colombia.

One of the government’s economic policy objectives is regional collaboration with neighboring countries, such as Colombia. Direct cooperation with Holland House Bogotá reinforces the commitment to facilitate more investment and trade between both nations. Maintaining a permanent presence in the Colombian market helps strengthen Aruba’s standing as an attractive island for investment while assisting local businesses in exploring and entering the market.

The Aruba Trade & Investment Office at Holland House was officially opened in 2023 during Aruba's first trade mission to Colombia. Since then, the office has proven its value as a key point of contact for Aruban entrepreneurs and investors looking to explore business opportunities in Colombia.

Holland House Colombia is one of the three primary bilateral Chambers of Commerce in Colombia, boasting approximately 500 member companies and offices in Bogotá, Medellín, and Barranquilla, backed by a team of specialized consultants. This partnership grants Aruba direct access to a robust professional network and expertise in market research, matchmaking, business development, trade missions, and networking events. It is a direct investment in Aruba’s economic future.

The partnership consists of two main components. Aruba will maintain a fully equipped and recognizable trade and investment office within Holland House Colombia, which also serves as a temporary workspace for Aruban entrepreneurs during business trips.

Additionally, Holland House Colombia will continue to support the ministry for four hours per week. This allows Aruba to leverage local knowledge and professional commercial support, enabling the government to use public funds efficiently without having to maintain a separate legal entity in Colombia.

The 2026–2027 work plan focuses on:

• Attracting Colombian investments to Aruba;
• Positioning Aruba as a strategic hub for the Caribbean region and Latin America;
• Supporting international companies considering Aruba as a business location;
• Strengthening the competitive position of Aruban companies in the Colombian market;
• Identifying new export opportunities;
• Organizing trade missions, seminars, business meetings, and networking events;
• Facilitating logistical cooperation between Aruba and Colombia.

The continuation of this close collaboration with Holland House Colombia reflects the government's commitment to providing ongoing support to local businesses and facilitating expanded trade and investment between Aruba and Colombia. "The Aruba Trade & Investment Office is part of our economic policy to drive business growth and provide consumers with greater access to products at favorable prices, contributing to a lower cost of living in Aruba," stated the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs, and Primary Sector, Mr. Geoffrey Wever.
