Airlift Committee presents results for the first half of 2024 and projections for the second half of 2024
ORANJESTAD – On Monday, July 29, 2024, Jo-Anne Meaux Arends, Aviation Business Development Executive of Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA N.V.), on behalf of the Airlift Committee, presented the results for the first half of 2024 and provided projections for the second half of 2024.
Present at the presentation were the Minister of Tourism and Public Health, Mr. Dangui Oduber, Ms. Ronella Croes and Ms. Sanju Luidens of ATA, Ms. Tisa LaSorte of AHATA, and Ms. Barbara Brown, Chief Revenue Development & Communications Officer of AAA N.V.
In the first six months of 2024, Aruba has continued to grow in the tourism sector. Aruba now hosts 26 airlines connecting to 32 cities and offers non-stop flights to 30 cities.
The U.S. market remains the largest and strongest for Aruba. The majority of tourists come from the state of New York, followed by Massachusetts and Florida. Additionally, ATA observed a growing trend of tourists from California.
Projections for the second half of 2024 and tentative figures for 2025 were also presented, along with a review of the points and strategies to continue the positive development of our tourism.
Aruba remains a sought-after destination for tourists, as reflected in the figures for the first half of 2024. It is thanks to the collective efforts of all those who tirelessly work in the tourism sector.
