You can pick up your car at one of the police stations.

ORANJESTAD—At all police stations, such as San Nicolas, Santa Cruz, Balashi, and Noord, there are, for one reason or another, vehicles such as cars and scooters.

 Now is the time for the owners of these vehicles to pick up their car/scooter. Police Force Aruba (KPA) requests you to view and pick up your car/scooter!

Time and day you can pick up a car/scooter:

  • Noord and Santa Cruz: from Thursday, June 12, to Saturday, June 14, 2025, between 9:00 and 14:00;
  • San Nicolas and Balashi: from Thursday, June 19, to Saturday, June 21, 2025, between 9:00 and 14:00.

When you report to the police station of Shaba/Noord, Santa Cruz, or San Nicolas, ask for the chief of duty. At the police station Balashi, ask for the documents of the Bureau Beheer Vervoermiddelen.

The KPA urges everyone to bring the car/scooter documents to prove they are the owner. Without the necessary documents, we cannot return them to you. The documents are insurance, road tax (license plate), and a valid driver's license.

Please note: you must pay the costs first. After paying for the period that the vehicle was at one of the police stations, you can get your vehicle back.

The costs are by the Retribution and Fees Decree of the Aruba Police Force 2002 (AB 2003 no. 4):

  • Article 1
    A.1. Transport of a vehicle as referred to in article 29, paragraph 1 of the National Ordinance Road Traffic (AB 1997 no. 18): Afl. 75, –
    A.2. Transport of a vehicle as referred to in the same article: Afl. 175.00—For parking a vehicle at the location as indicated in article 30, paragraph 1 of the Road Traffic Ordinance, per vehicle, per day: Afl. 25,–

After this period, KPA offers you the opportunity to collect the vehicles, and if you do not come to collect them, it will destroy them. Please pay close attention to this. It is now time to collect your vehicle from one of the police stations mentioned.
